The Effort and Accessibility Scale

The Effort and Accessibility Rating Scale is designed to rate tourist destinations across Iceland - both iconic and off-the-beaten path sites - by their accessibility and the effort required to reach them. This is aimed at helping travelers with mobility issues, those traveling with small children, and those who may simply want to better understand what they are getting into before they head out to a location. The EA Rating Scale will help you make decisions about what best suits your unique travel needs and your style. Whether you want to spend your days hiking through the Highlands, or you prefer to stay closer to the carpark, the EA Scale will help you find the right balance for your perfect Icelandic vacation.
